Hola Lynwood!
We arrived Saturday on time and were greeted at the airport by Pedro and his family. We had dinner with them, picked up the translator and then traveled to Union de San Antonio to check into the hotel.
Sunday we traveled to Leon to attend church with the folks at Emmanuel Baptist Church. After church we had lunch (home-made pazole) with the uncle of the pastor and celebrated his birthday. We spent the afternoon with the people of the church and discussed the growth of their church and future work in the ranches with us. They now have 30 attending in the morning service and over 57+Sunday evening? And the bathroom actually works now! There was standing room only and it was incredible to see!
Monday we went to Lagos and had breakfast at Juanitas Gorditas. We came back to Union and delivered the things we brought with us to the missionary couple Daniel and Laural. We spent the rest of the day discussing the progress in Union and then attended a Bible study with a couple they are counseling on parenting. This Bible study turned into an opportuity to share the gospel with Luia and Ilianna. They had lots of questions and we enjoyed the time with them.
After breakfast on Tuesday Daniel met us and we toured the cheese factory of Luis and Martha (this is another couple from the Bible study at Daniel and Laural's)
Next we traveled to the new town , Tlacuitapan, where we may want to start a new work. We prayer-walked the town and now we will see how God leads us). It is very quiet there and we visited with a man who has a great testimony and is drug free after 27 years. He gives God the glory and it was great to hear. Daniel also took us to visit a woman who is a Christian and we enjoyed her stories of witnessing.
We met Dennis for lunch and picked up the posters for the conference. When we got back to Union and met back at Daniel & Laural's with several ladies to divide up the town to deliver flyer and posters. It was another late night but we are seeing lots of progress.
Today we will be delivering the flyers personally to our list and putting the posters up all over town.
Keep us in your prayers..............we have received a little opposition from the Catholic Church and we will know the effect by the number attending the conference Friday night.
Hasta luego para hoy ! Jeff, Kim, Bob & Cheryl
